This spring they continue that tradition with a gripping new production, Cleopatra. An enduring icon of the ancient world, Cleopatra was a mother, lover and queen who overturned convention and changed the course of history. This full-length ballet is a must-see from Northern Ballet’s Artistic Director, David Nixon OBE and features a specially composed score by Claude-Michel Schönberg (Miss Saigon, Les Misérables), played live by the Northern Ballet Sinfonia.
With over 40 years of dance making, Northern Ballet have collected an impressive array of accolades and nominations including the audience award at the Critics’ Circle Awards for three successive years and Oliver award nominations for The Three Musketeers and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
