Based on the 1967 Oscar-winning film, this is the story of Millie, a young girl from Kansas who comes to New York in search of a new life for herself in the Roaring Twenties. Millie has a plan: to get a good job as a secretary for a very rich man and then marry him.

Of course, nothing quite goes according to plan. The owner of her dingy hotel kidnaps young girls to sell to the Far East; her very rich boss is slow in proposing marriage; and the man she actually falls in love with is poor as a church mouse. Great show-stopping numbers, fabulous dance routines and hilarious kidnap sequences make Thoroughly Modern Millie a thrilling night out!

“Millie” has been a big hit on Broadway – currently at the Marquis Theatre – winning 6 “Tony” awards including “Best Musical” for 2002!

Amanda Holden was invited to audition for the part of Millie …..a perfect piece of casting…big new star in a big new role! Amanda spent a week in New York working with the original creative team and "wowed" them with her musical talent... "Boo Booby Do"!!

To have Maureen Lipman as "Mrs Meers" (the part played in the film by Beatrice Lilley) is every producers dream!

With a cast of 30 and an orchestra of 16 - the production is sure to set the Shaftesbury Theatre alight!
