Mikado, The

D'Oyly Carte Opera Company presents a Gilbert & Sullivan operetta to the Savoy, the long established home for their work. The Olivier Award-nominated production of The Mikado, which had its premiere at the Savoy in 1885, returns after a successful run in 2000. The Mikado tells of Nanky-Poo, the son of the Mikado, who agrees to be beheaded if he can marry Yum-Yum for just one month. With Jasper Carrot as Ko-Ko.
