Based on Shakespeare's comedy and presented as a play within a play, Cole Porter's Kiss Me, Kate follows the lives and loves of a travelling troupe of actors during their run of a musical version of The Taming Of The Shrew. As well as bitter rivalries amongst the cast, the leading man must contend with two gangsters who arrive on the show's First Night to collect a debt. Michael Blakemore directs this Broadway transfer which includes some members of the original award-winning cast. Songs included are Wunderbar, Another Openin', Another Show, Brush Up Your Shakespeare and Too Darn Hot.
