ELENA ROGER, DOON MACKICHAN ADRIAN DUNBAR AND NEIL STUKE JET IN TO JOIN THE CAST OF HIT WEST END COMEDY B O E I N G – B O E I N G

On 29 May Elena Roger, Doon Mackichan, Adrian Dunbar and Neil Stuke will join the cast of the West End hit comedy Boeing-Boeing, currently playing to packed houses at the Comedy Theatre.

Elena Roger will play Italian stewardess Gabriella, one of Bernard’s three glamorous fiancées who each believes she is his one true love! Elena Roger, who is half Italian and fluent in the language, has just completed an 11 month run in the title role of Evita at the Adelphi Theatre for which she received great critical acclaim. Actress, comedienne and writer Doon Mackichan, best known for her role in C4’s hit comedy series Smack the Pony, will play Lufthansa stewardess Gretchen. Adrian Dunbar who co-wrote and starred in the BAFTA nominated Hear My Song takes on the role of playboy Bernard and Neil Stuke, star of the BBC’s hit sitcom Game On, will play his old school chum, Robert. They join Patricia Hodge who plays long suffering housekeeper Bertha and Amy Nuttall who plays American stewardess Gloria.

Translated by Beverley Cross from Mark Camoletti’s original, Matthew Warchus’ production is designed by Rob Howell, with lighting by Hugh Vanstone, original music by Claire van Kampen and sound by Simon Baker. The curtain call is devised by Bruno Tonioli. Boeing-Boeing, which is produced in the West End by Sonia Friedman Productions, Act Productions, Matthew Byam Shaw, Robert G Bartner and Bob Boyett, is now booking until 20 October 2007.

Bernard, a successful architect living in Paris, thought he could easily cope with his three air hostess fiancées. It was all a question of timetables and a reliable, long-suffering housekeeper who reluctantly has the role of romantic air-traffic controller. When old school chum Robert arrives, Bernard relishes the chance to show his wide-eyed friend his first-class operation at work. Unfortunately, schedules change, flights are delayed and a new turbo-charged Boeing aircraft is introduced: chaos ensues in this hysterical whirl of mayhem and matchmaking.
