Thea Sharrock is to direct Danny DeVito and Richard Griffiths as the ageing vaudevillian team Willie Clark and Al Lewis in Neil Simon’s award-wining comedy, The Sunshine Boys. Previewing from 27 April with press night on 17 May, The Sunshine Boys is booking at the Savoy Theatre for a strictly limited run until 28 July 2012.

It is surprising how many people still enquire about tickets for Dirty Dancing in London even though it has been out of the West End since July 2011. The show had a successful five year run at the Aldwych Theatre and racked up the largest pre sales of any West End show when it opened in 2006, selling out its first six months before it even opened. Although currently in the middle of a two year UK tour it is still one of the most popular choices of theatregoers looking for West End shows.

This year's Laurence Olivier Awards look set to be more prestigious than ever before with the organisers Society of London Theatre (SOLT) promising the biggest coverage ever. This year the biggest night in theatre has been moved to the Royal Opera House to take place on 15th April 2012. For the second year running, hosts will be Sweeney Todd stars Michael Ball and Imelda Staunton.

‘Strictly’ star takes to the stage of the London Palladium.
Russell Grant is to star as The Wizard in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new production of The Wizard of Oz. He takes over the eponymous role from Michael Crawford from Tuesday 14 February for a limited 12-week season.

Danielle Hope, the winner of Andrew Lloyd Webber's show Over the Rainbow will make her final appearance as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz currently playing at the London Palladium Theatre since 1st March 2011. It is booking until 28th October 2012. Michael Crawford will also take his last bow on 5th February as the Wizard.
