The “jukebox” musical has become a contentious issue in theatre. For some, they represent a dumbing down, where creativity has been stifled for shallow money-making machinations. For others, they offer the simple pleasures of a fun night out. As one of the first “jukebox” musicals, recently celebrating its tenth anniversary, We Will Rock You is at the centre of this dichotomy.

Following its sell-out run at Hampstead Theatre, Edward Hall's five star production of Chariots Of Fire will open at the Gielgud Theatre on 23 June 2012 where it is currently booking to 10 November 2012.

Bill Kenwright presents Rufus Norris' acclaimed production of Kander and Ebb's musical masterpiece Cabaret. Rufus Norris’ much anticipated re-imagining of his double Olivier-award winning production of Cabaret is to star internationally renowned singer/songwriter Will Young in his musical theatre debut as the enigmatic Emcee. The production will play The Savoy Theatre in London’s West End from 3 October until 19th January, following an exclusive four week tour.

British beauty Michelle Ryan will join Will Young in the latest Cabaret revival this coming winter at the Savoy Theatre. She will play the lead role of Sally Bowles alongside Young who has already been confirmed as the Emcee.

The award winning Jermyn Street Theatre’s growing reputation for rediscovering and producing lost works by the world’s greatest playwrights steps up a level this Summer with the UK premiere of Henrik Ibsen’s third play from 10th July to 4th August, the magical and dreamlike St John’s Night directed by Anthony Biggs. The cast includes Sara Crowe, Louise Calf and Isla Carter.
