39 Steps

The Olivier and Tony Award-winning production of The 39 Steps is now in its fifth riotous year in the West End! Based on John Buchan's classic novel and Alfred Hitchcock's memorable movie version, this hilarious comedy stars just four actors who play 139 roles in 100 minutes of fast-paced fun.

The show follows the incredible adventures of handsome hero Richard Hannay, complete with stiff upper lip, British gung-ho and pencil moustache as he encounters dastardly murders, double-crossing secret agents and devastatingly beautiful women.

“Very funny”
★★★★ - Time Out
“A joyous version of the Hitchcock classic” - Sunday Times
“Hilarious” ★★★★ - Sunday Express

John Buchan’s gripping whodunnit, THE 39 STEPS, memorably filmed by Alfred Hitchcock in 1935 – is now thrillingly adapted for the stage, and transfers to the Criterion Theatre after a sensational sell-out run at the Tricycle Theatre.

With four actors playing a minimum of one hundred and thirty nine roles, THE 39 STEPS proves to be the most astonishing theatrical tour de force of the year. Book now to avoid incredible disappointment.
