Commemorating the 25th anniversary of his untimely final curtain, Morecambe celebrates the extraordinary life of Britain’s best loved comic – Eric Morecambe. From humble beginnings as a child-performer on Morecambe Pier to the glitz and glamour of international stardom and the mantle of ‘Britain’s best-loved comic’, Morecambe follows young Eric’s eventful journey from ‘Lily of Laguna’ to ‘Andre Preview’, from tumbleweed to Glenda Jackson. It’s a moving portrait of an affectionate lad with funny bones, a born entertainer, a big-hearted perfectionist … the tall one with glasses.

Featuring the multi-talented Bob Golding, who could have been born to play Eric, penned by the brilliant Tim Whitnall and directed by solo-maestro Guy Masterson, Morecambe is a must-see for all fans of classic British comedy.
