About the venue
Named after John Brown, officially the Queen's "ghillie" who quickly became her confidante. Their close relationship initially caused much gossip. The scandal faded in time as people became accustomed to JB's constant presence and he remained the Queens confidante for almost 20 years. JB's Restaurant sits under the spacious Victoria Park Plaza Hotel. With large gold columns and an open plan; split level stairs and strategically placed marble all come together to create an air of warmth and comfort, perfectly enhancing the seasonal flavours of mushrooms and walnuts on the restaurants satisfying menu.
