New London Theatre

The New London Theatre is a theatre located on the corners of Drury Lane and Parker Street in the Covent Garden area of London.

Designed by Paul Tvrtkovic, it officially opened on January 2, 1973 with a production of The Unknown Soldier and His Wife starring Peter Ustinov. Between 1981 and 2002 it was home to the musical Cats, during which time it became the longest running musical in West End history.

Between 2003 and 2005 the theatre hosted Bill Kenwright''s revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber''s musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. This closed after a two and a half year run on 2 September 2005. Currently, the venues is playing host to the London transfer of off-Broadway''s hit production - the Blue Man Group.
