The Falsettos Charity Gala Evening is in support of the Make A Difference Trust. The MAD Trust is the UK theatre community’s response to the ongoing HIV and AIDS crises. The Trust raises funds for HIV/AIDS projects. They increase awareness and provide care, support and education not only in Sub-Saharan Africa, but also in the UK. This one-night-only event in support of such a worthwhile and relevant cause will begin with a drinks and canapé reception an hour prior to the show. After watching Falsettos you will be invited to get to know the show and its cast a little better at a celebrity-hosted Q&A with members of the company.
Falsettos at The Other Palace
This two time Tony Award-winning show is a funny yet touching look at a family that is a little less ‘traditional’ than most. This hilarious yet poignant family drama focuses on a gay man named Marvin, his wife Trina, his lover Whizzer, his pre-teen son Jason, their therapist Mendel, and their lesbian neighbours Cordelia and Dr Charlotte. This innovative musical about family was originally created under the shadow of the AIDS crisis and is uniquely able to keep its spirit lifted even as it makes its way towards a heart-rending ending. The London premiere of Falsettos shares with us some of the many stories that love can tell.
