Belinda Davids

The South-African singer, Belinda Davids, beat approximately 15,000 other contenders who hoped to take on the role, but it was Davids’ life-long connection with the renowned Whitney Houston that gave her the edge. Growing up, Davids mostly listened to R&B and Gospel which led her to Houston and her unique music style. She began singing professionally from her teen years and there wasn’t a live show that she did which didn’t include a Whitney track.

Her singing career began in her early teens and Davids went on from there to make a name for herself, earning success as a chart-topping solo artist and a session vocalist for big artists such as The Temptations. However, despite her outstanding talent and growing success, many professionals in the industry didn’t know how to work with her due to her uncanny resemblance, both in looks and sound, to Houston.

The kinship that Davids shares with the great Whitney Houston only became more prominent as time went on which led to the perfect role for her. She now gets to honour her idol by representing Whitney on stage in The Greatest Love of All.

This remarkable production will be at the London Palladium for just one night only so be sure to book your tickets for The Greatest Love of All and see Belinda Davids bring the memory of Whitney Houston to live with all her greatest hits.
