DON'T MISS: One Man, Two Guvnors - Final 6 Weeks In West End Prior To Tour

One Man, Two Guvnors, which has now been seen over 1 million people worldwide, recently became the longest running show at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in almost 200 years and will have played almost 900 London performances when it completes its West End run.

Fired from his skiffle band, Francis Henshall becomes minder to Roscoe Crabbe. But Roscoe is really Rachel, posing as her own dead brother – who’s been killed by her boyfriend Stanley Stubbers. Francis spots the chance of an extra meal ticket and takes a job with one Stanley Stubbers – but to prevent discovery, he must keep his two guvnors apart.  Simple.

The West End cast comprises Owain Arthur (Francis Henshall) Angela Griffin (Dolly), Kellie Shirley (Pauline Clench), Peter Caulfield (Alfie), Dominic Thorburn (Alan Dangle) Sam Alexander (Stanley Stubbers), David Benson (Gareth), Ian Burfield (Charlie Clench), Amy Cudden (Rachel Crabbe), Derek Elroy (Lloyd Boateng) and Hugh Sachs (Harry Dangle). Mensah Bediako, Sophie Cosson, Stephen Leask, Nadim Naaman, Gemma Salter and Patrick Warner make up the ensemble.

Nicholas Hytner’s five star production of Richard Bean’s One Man, Two Guvnors, had its World Premiere at the National Theatre in May 2011, and transferred to the Adelphi Theatre in November 2011 where it completed a sell out run. In March 2012 the show transferred to the Theatre Royal Haymarket.  The Broadway production of One Man, Two Guvnors completed a successful run at the Music Box Theater in 2012. During its London run One Man, Two Guvnors has completed two UK tours in 2011 and 2012 as well as the International tour which played across Australia as well as Hong Kong and New Zealand.

The UK tour will begin in Sheffield on 14 May 2014 and then visits Birmingham, Southampton, Bristol, Woking, Hull, Glasgow, Bradford, Newcastle, Dartford, Aylesbury, Crawley Heath, Stoke-on-Trent, Liverpool, Northampton, Canterbury, Aberdeen, Dublin, Sunderland, Bromley, Oxford, Wimbledon and York.  Further venues are to be announced soon.

Richard Bean’s version of Carlo Goldoni’s classic Italian comedy The Servant of Two Masters has songs by Grant Olding performed by The Craze.  The physical comedy director is Cal McCrystal, with designs by Mark Thompson, lighting by Mark Henderson, sound design by Paul Arditti, fight direction by Kate Waters and choreography and associate direction by Adam Penford.
