Broadway’s John Lloyd Young to star in Jersey Boys at the Piccadilly Theatre

Tony Award-winner John Lloyd Young, who originated the role of Frankie Valli on Broadway in 2006, will reprise his performance in the West End production when Jersey Boys moves to its new London home at the Piccadilly Theatre from 15th March 2014. John will lead the company for a limited season until 27th April 2014.

Also joining the new company at the Piccadilly Theatre will be Matt Nalton, who will be making his West End debut as Nick Massi. Edd Post and Jon Boydonwill continue as Bob Gaudio and Tommy De Vito and Michael Watson will play the role of Frankie Valli at certain performances.

 
The cast will also feature: Nicola Brazil, Sophie Carmen-Jones, Thomas Goodridge, Lucinda Gill, Matthew Hunt, Mark Isherwood, Charlotte Jeffery, Ben Jennings, Stuart King, Sandy Moffat, Sean Mulligan, Tom Senior, Emma Stephens, Matt Thorpe, Graham Vick, Ben Wheeler and Rob Wilshaw.
 
As Frankie Valli, John Lloyd Young won the Lead Actor Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Theatre World Awards, becoming the only American actor in history to win all four leading actor awards for a Broadway debut. He sings lead vocals on the Platinum, Grammy Award-winning Jersey Boys Original Cast Album. Young has re-created his award-winning Broadway turn on screen in Clint Eastwood's film adaptation of Jersey Boys, due out in June 2014. 
 
Jersey Boys opened in London at the Prince Edward Theatre in 2008 and its last performance there will be on Sunday 9th March. The show will celebrate its 6th Birthday in London on 18th March. The musical has now been seen by over 19 million people worldwide and is firmly established as one of the West End's longest running and most popular shows.
 
Jersey Boys runs at the Prince Edward Theatre until Sunday 9th March 2014. The musical transfers to the Piccadilly Theatre from Saturday 15th March where it is currently booking until Sunday 26th October 2014.
