By Harriet Wilson
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time Wednesday 24 August 2016

Seeing plays and musicals in London is great – but, who can afford it? With the price of trains and other transport so high, it is expensive enough just getting to London, let along seeing a show. But, in reality, you don't actually have to spend a ridiculous amount of money on theatre tickets – in fact, trips to London can be really quite affordable, if you know where to look for cheap seats.

BLOG : Remember The Little Guy – Off West End And Smaller Theatres

By Jade Ali
Ragtime Monday 22 August 2016

When you think of the West End, you probably think of Shaftesbury Avenue and those big name theatres in that region. They’re beautiful theatres with all their history and grandeur, the bright lights and beautiful displays but what about those smaller theatres that don’t have those same big budgets, the bright lights or the great locations? Do we forget about them? The answer, if it wasn’t already obvious, is no.

BLOG : My West End Wish-List

Hamilton Monday 22 August 2016

The West End offers a constant range of variety. Some musicals and plays have been around for years and that’s how we want it to stay. Some crop up and are gone again in as little as 8 weeks. There are some things however that don’t make an appearance as often as they should or even at all. Here’s what I’m hoping will come to the West End in the future.

BLOG : 6 Shows I Can't Wait To See This Autumn/Winter

By Shaun Nolan
School of Rock Friday 19 August 2016

As much as I adore what’s currently playing in London right now, I can’t help but feel excited for all of the stuff that is set to be taking to the stage in the near future. For me, there is nothing more exciting than hearing about a new show coming into London in the coming months and especially if it’s a show that you’ve been waiting to see for a really long time. If you haven’t had a think about what you’re excited to see though then I have you covered, no fear: let’s talk through the six shows that I am most excited to see in the coming months.

Being the summer holidays, a lot of people will be taking their first (or maybe their tenth or hundredth!) trip to London theatres around now, so as someone who spends an awful lot of time in the city, I thought I’d share with you my 5 top tips for visiting the theatre in London…

BLOG : Stars In London: Where The Famous People Are Performing In The West End

By Jade Ali
No Man's Land Tuesday 16 August 2016

"I wanna go where the people are..." Yes, I'm quoting The Little Mermaid but you have to admit, the more popular shows do beckon. The West End is often studded with stars and they do bring a lot of attraction. Are they as great as their reputation or are we blinded by their fame? Here are just some of those stars that are gracing the West End right now (and some to come):

BLOG : The Bodyguard: Knight Earns Her Star Billing Right From The Start, But The Story Lacks Depth

By Harrison Fuller
The Bodyguard Friday 12 August 2016

The Bodyguard over at the Dominion theatre starring Beverly Knight and Ben Richards opens with a rather literal bang. The story of a pop sensation under threat from an obsessive fan has made its way back to the West End for a second run and is playing to full houses.

The Bodyguard Friday 12 August 2016

An adaptation of Dinelaris’ 1992 film, The Bodyguard initially showed in 2012. Catch it again now for its second run, this time at The Dominion Theatre, where it shows until January 2017.  Packed with songs that will make you want to dance, and a tumultuous and heartbreaking storyline with times of terrifying tension, this musical is definitely one for drama lovers. Even having watched the film, the show still offers some surprises.

By Emily Jenkins
The Bodyguard Friday 12 August 2016
