BLOG : Behind The Scenes: Q&A With Cast Members of Curious Incident

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time Friday 04 September 2015

After a fantastic performance of London’s hottest play on the West End on the 1st of September, cast members Stephen Beckett, Pearl Mackie, Simon Victor and Penelope McGhie from The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time took to the stage to answers questions from the audience about anything and everything to do with the show. Luckily, I was in attendance to not only see how well the show is still doing but to also take a look at what the cast had to say and what they shared was rather interesting.

Three Reasons You MUST See Kinky Boots!

Kinky Boots Thursday 03 September 2015

I was lucky enough to attend one of the preview nights for Kinky Boots at the Adelphi Theatre and it was so worth it! I don’t really have anything bad to say about this show, so here are three simple reasons why you should go and see it:

Review: Kinky Boots Dazzles From Start To Finish

Kinky Boots Thursday 03 September 2015

On Bank Holiday Monday, I was lucky enough to go to see Kinky Boots at the Adelphi Theatre during its previews period. It has only just opened and the theatre was absolutely buzzing with excitement and rightly so, as they were about to watch the Tony Award-winning export from Broadway. They were certainly not disappointed as this production dazzled from start to finish. Kinky Boots is a real treat to watch, I defy anyone not to feel a smile creep across their face at some point.

Academy Award-Winning Jim Broadbent Makes West End Return In A Christmas Carol

A Christmas Carol Tuesday 01 September 2015

Academy Award-winning actor Jim Broadbent makes his long-awaited return to the stage to play Scrooge in a new version of A Christmas Carol adapted by Patrick Barlow from Charles Dickens' classic story of greed, grief, ghoulish ghosts and eleventh-hour redemption.

BLOG : Hedwig Is Coming To London!... Hopefully.

Hedwig And The Angry Inch Tuesday 01 September 2015

It was recently announced that Hedwig And The Angry Inch (a show about an East German, genderqueer musician named Hedwig Robinson) is having its final performance on Broadway on September 13th, and with it came the news that a West End production might be on the cards. Reports are conflicting, creator John Cameron Mitchell was quoted as saying the show is “definitely coming to the West End,” while composer Stephen Trask countered, saying there are still no definite plans for a transfer. However, it got me thinking about who I'd like to see play the genderqueer rock star here in London in the future.

BLOG : Off West End Reviews: Sweet Charity At Cadogan Hall

Phantom of The Opera Monday 31 August 2015

On Wednesday I went to see the limited run of the off-west end version of Sweet Charity at Cadogan Hall which starred a host of stars including Denise Van Outen, Kimberley Walsh, Kerry Ellis, Micheal Xavier and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.   This was another show I knew little about and I had only brought in tickets in a slightly biased form as a long-term Girls Aloud fan who was itching to catch Kimberley Walsh perform again. However the entire cast and story intrigued me and I love theatre and the excitement of not knowing what to expect.

BLOG : Do We Demand Too Much Of The West End?

Wicked Thursday 27 August 2015

When we go to the West End, we expect a spectacle. And, when we're paying well into the hundreds for a ticket, why should we not? We've paid to see helicopters, falling chandeliers, flying people, barricades … But what about shows that don't – can't, even – offer such impressive visuals? Are we pushing away productions that might be incredible, simply because they don't meet our demands for clever tricks?

BLOG : So You're Not A Musical Theatre Fan... The Best Introductory Musicals!

The Lion King Tuesday 25 August 2015

Not everyone shares the same passion for the theatre as us thespians do, but for those who really don't fancy watching a hardcore musical, there are plenty of shows on offer that can serve as 'introductory' musicals...
