This Sunday 18th November saw famous faces including Miranda Hart, Hugh Bonneville and Iain Glen perform a unique staged reading of Agatha Christie's record-breaking play as part of the show's ongoing 60th birthday celebrations.  The cast which also included Julie Walters and Patrick Stewart had only 8 hours to rehearse and thus carried their scripts for the gala performance but still admitted they were nervous about doing the show justice.

Driving Miss Daisy, currently on tour until December 2012, will extend its national tour to April 2013 due to popular demand.  The critically acclaimed production, presented by Julian Stoneman Associates, in association with Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre, follows sell-out runs on Broadway and in the West End.

Gavin Creel and Jared Gertner will play Elder Price and Elder Cunningham in The Book of Mormon, which previews at the Prince of Wales Theatre from 25 February 2013. They are currently leading the company in the Los Angeles production, which has broken all box office records at the Pantages Theatre.

Tomorrow, Tuesday 13 November 2012 sees the final cast in Edward Hall’s critically acclaimed production of Chariots of Fire take to the track at the Gielgud Theatre after its previously announced extension through to 2 February 2013.

 Actor, stand-up comic and presenter Rufus Hound will join the cast of Nicholas Hytner’s five star West End production of One Man, Two Guvnors to play lovable chancer Frances Henshall in Richard Bean’s award-winning version of Carlo Goldoni’s classic Italian comedy The Servant of Two Masters.

Legendary puppet - part-time magician and full time prankster - Sooty is set to head into outer space this winter with his new show Sooty In Space.   The festive spectacular also stars his loveable sidekicks mischievous Sweep and sensible Soo.   Richard Cadell will be on hand to try and keep things under control.   We caught up with him to hear more about the show.

Joining Helen Mirren as The Queen in the world premiere of Peter Morgan’s The Audience will be Haydn Gwynne who will play Margaret Thatcher, Robert Hardy as Winston Churchill and Paul Ritter as John Major.  Stephen Daldry’s production will preview at the Gielgud Theatre from 15 February 2013, with press night on 5 March 2013 and is currently booking to 15 June 2013.  Designs are by Bob Crowley, lighting by Rick Fisher and sound is by Paul Arditti and video by Ian William Galloway.  Further casting will be announced shortly.

From 5 February 2013 Gavin Lee will join the cast of the hit West End production of Top Hat at the Aldwych Theatre, to play Jerry Travers, the role played in the original RKO motion picture by Fred Astaire.
