SHOWSTOPPER RETURNS TO THE WEST END

Posted on 2 August 2011

The Ambassadors Theatre will see the improvised musical Showstopper! return to the stage this Autumn.

Showstopper! will be playing from 20 September to 12 October on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, running alongside the current musical Stomp on the other days of the week.

Showstopper! played its first West End season earlier this year and it is now playing in its fourth season at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer.

The show is totally improvised so is completely unpredictable!  It is The audience participate by giving suggestions and a new musical is created every night by a writer and his actors.  He will create catchy songs, dance routines and a dialogue.  This is improvisation at its best.

The format was devised by improvisation veterans Adam Meggido and Dylan Emery whose productions also include Shall We Shog at Shakespeare’s Globe and In Pursuit Of Cardenio at the Edinburgh Festival.
