The multi award-winning film actress Lindsay Lohan makes her West End debut in Speed the Plow at the Playhouse Theatre, with Richard Schiff and Nigel Lindsay.
Speed the Plow is tells the story of film producers Bobby Gould and Charlie Fox (Richard Schiff and Nigel Lindsay). When a hugely bankable star agrees to appear in a sure-fire commercial hit, they are convinced this is the break of a lifetime. But Karen (played by Lindsay Lohan), a temporary secretary, derails the dream. When she persuades Bobby to dump the blockbuster in favour of a story which can only be described as box-office poison, Charlie is forced to resort to desperate measures….

Richard Schiff (Bobby Gould) is best known for his career-defining portrayal of Communications Director Toby Ziegler on the acclaimed NBC series The West Wing for which he won an Emmy for the role and received three nominations in total, in addition to winning two SAG Awards. His numerous stage performances include Underneath the Lintel (Duchess Theatre)m the title role in Eugene O'Neill's Hughie at the Shakespeare Theatre Company in Washington, D.C.,and a recent Broadway run opposite Al Pacino in Glengarry Glen Ross.
Nigel Lindsay (Charlie Fox). numerous stage appearances include work at the Donmar, the Royal Court, five plays at the Almeida; and an Olivier nomination for Shrek in Shrek the Musical. Film includes a British Comedy Award nomination for Barry in Four Lions, Alpha Papa and Woody Allen's Scoop.
Speed the Plow is directed by Lindsay Posner who has directed more plays by David Mamet in the West End than any other director, including: Oleanna with Julia Stiles and Aaron Eckhart, Sexual Perversity in Chicago with Matthew Perry, Minnie Driver and Kelly Reilly and A Life in the Theatre with Patrick Stewart and Joshua Jackson.
