Batman Live tickets at the O2 Arena in London have now gone on sale and the event looks set to be a dazzling theatrical experience unlike anything seen before in London. Here are few fun facts about the arena:

•The O2 has an overall diameter of 365 metres, an internal diameter of 320 metres, a circumference of a kilometre and is 50 metres high at its central point

•The twelve steel masts are 100 metres high

•If you turned The O2 upside down, it would take Niagara Falls 15 minutes to fill it

•Alternatively, you could fill it with 3.8 billion pints of beer or the contents of 1100 olympic-sized swimming pools

•The volume of The O2 is equal to thirteen Albert Halls ten St Paul’s Cathedrals or two old Wembley Stadiums

•18,000 double-decker buses could fit into The O2

•The O2 is as high as Nelson’s Column

•The Eiffel Tower could fit inside The O2 lying on its side

•12 football pitches or 72 tennis courts could fit in The O2

•Entertainment Avenue is the same length & breadth as New Bond Street

Now you know how big it is imagine what the creators can do with the classic comic book series Batman! Of course, we all know about the films and the revival by Christopher Nolan has created a new generation of fans who love the world of Gotham City and it's cast of villains that Batman battles against. Now the iconic city and characters are being bought to life on stage in what is described as a theatrical extravaganza of thrilling stunts, acrobatic acts and illusions. It is a multi-million pound stage production of an unprecedented scale.

Some of the features of the stage is a 100ft wall shaped like a bat and a specially designed batmobile by Sir Gordon Murray the legendary Formula One Designer all inspired by the style of Jim Lee originally a writer for Marvel Comics, now a Co-Publisher of DC Comics who has written extensively Batman stories.

The preparations and people involved is immense. To prepare for the stunt work in the show the trapeze artists train for 45 minutes a day for three months. The show will tour around the world with 86 people on the road, comprising actors, acrobats, stunt performers and crew and it takes over 17 trucks to move the show from arena to arena.

Audience reviews so far have been extremely positive...with particular mention of how all members of the family at any age will enjoy not just the action and stunts but the story as well regardless of whether you are an obsessive Batman fan or not.

Batman Live tickets are also available for arenas around the UK as it goes on tour so you don't just have to visit London to catch this must see family event.
