The London Eye or Millennium Wheel is a landmark famous in London and is the largest observation wheel in Europe. After seven years in construction, the wheel was finally opened in 2000 to celebrate the Millennium. The wheel itself measures 135 meters high and consists of 32 capsules each of which can hold 25 people. The wheel travels at only a few inches a second, taking approximately 30 minutes for a full rotation.
