Whatever you're visiting London for this summer, whether it be to hit the shops, to watch a top West End performance, to see the divers at the London 2012 Olympics on large screens or to witness the shocking British weather, don’t do anything until you’ve read our favourite Top 10 Things To Do In London This Summer.

10. THE O2 – This huge venue is now used for a variety of things. There’s an array of restaurants and bars, an 11-screen cinema (which boasts the largest 3D cinema in Europe) and the fancy new club Proud2. Kevin Hart, Radiohead, J-Lo and Nicki Minaj are but a few acts scheduled to perform at the 23,000-seat arena over the next few months.

9 MADAME TUSSAUDS – Unfortunately, you aren’t allowed to knock on the door of Buckingham Palace to come face-to-face with the Queen, Prince William or Kate Middleton. Instead, fool your friends and take a trip to Madame Tussauds where you can rub shoulders with stars including Johnny Depp, Gaga, the Beckhams and even Vladimir Putin…

8 THE APOLLO THEATRE – David Suchet of Poirot fame currently stars in the West End hit Long Day’s Journey into Night. The Apollo Shaftesbury Avenue is a wonderful venue with an impressive show history, including Carrie’s War, Jerusalem and All My Sons.

7 LONDON DUNGEON – London is full of gruesome tales, especially those of Jack the Ripper and Sweeney Todd. Live actors perform these sinister stories and scary rides thrill many a visitor at the London Dungeon.  A brilliant family attraction and a great day out.

6 SPITALFIELDS MARKET – A combination of nice food and unique designs, Spitalfields is a dream for shoppers. An outside market with a roof, this place sells designer, retro and handmade clothes and accessories, and wonderful knickknacks.

5 WAR HORSE – This smash hit play regularly sells out and has wowed both audiences and critics alike.  The stunning West End production of War Horse is so popular it is booking until October 2013, however you can sometimes find short notice availability if you scour the internet.

4 DIEMAR/NOBLE PHOTOGRAPHY – Any art fan must visit this gallery’s current show, ‘B.S.T’. Celebrating the unpredictability of the “British summer”, the group show features work from both famous and up-and-coming photographers.

3 THE LONDON EYE – Get away from the hustle and bustle of London and escape to the sky. The thirty-minute ride on the Southbank attraction shows off the wonderful 360˚ views of the city. The London Eye is a brilliant way to escape the crowds.

2 THE SHARD – London’s infamous new skyscraper would have been number 1 if it was open to the public, but you’ll have to wait until next year. However, Europe’s tallest building is still eye-catching and definitely deserves a photo or two.

1 THE THREESIXTY THEATRE – Newly built to embrace the warm British climate, this brilliant new theatre has a unique design. The stage is surrounded by a three-hundred and sixty degree seating arrangement, and is an outdoor theatre. But don’t worry – the Threesixty Theatre has a roof and is temperature controlled.
