El London Coliseum es uno de los teatros más grandes e icónicos del West End, célebre por su grandiosa arquitectura y producciones de ópera, ballet y musicales de clase mundial. Inaugurado en 1904, el London Coliseum fue diseñado por el legendario arquitecto teatral Frank Matcham con el objetivo de ser "el palacio popular del entretenimiento." Fue uno de los teatros más avanzados técnicamente de su época, con un escenario giratorio y un auditorio ricamente decorado.
Originalmente destinado a espectáculos de music hall y variedades, el Coliseo se convirtió en un importante espacio para proyecciones de cine y entretenimiento en tiempos de guerra antes de convertirse en la sede permanente de la English National Opera en 1968. A lo largo de los años, también ha acogido ballet, obras de teatro y musicales de gran envergadura como Chess, Bat Out of Hell y Hairspray.
