First Look - Catherine Tate in Rehearsals for Oh, Mary!
Posted on
*Am I bovvered?* Yes we are bovvered because here’s your first look at **Catherine Tate** in rehearsals for *[Oh, Mary!](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/play/oh-mary-tickets)* at the [Trafalgar Theatre](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/venue/trafalgar-theatre-london). **Catherine Tate** is taking over the role of **Mary Todd Lincoln**, from **Mason Alexander Park**, who you can catch until 25th April before Tate puts her own stamp on the role from 27th April.
The two-time Tony Award winning show follows [**Mary Todd Lincoln**](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/news/characters-in-oh-mary), in the weeks leading up to her husband, **Abraham Lincoln**’s assassination. She is miserable, suffocating and unbearably hilarious, as she staggers through life as a First Lady with a bottle, dreaming of her calling to the stage.
American performer and writer, **Cole Escola**, originated the role on Broadway, as well as writing the dark comedy now known for the belter laugh-out-loud moments. In one-act the show guarantees zero historical accuracy, and one-hundred-percent chaos; perfect for Tate’s return to the stage since her role in *The Enfield Haunting* in 2024 at the [Ambassadors Theatre](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/venue/ambassadors-theatre-london).
