McFly’s Harry Judd to Star in London Transfer of Disney’s High School Musical

A brand-new UK production of Disney’s *High School Musical* will arrive in London in a major new staging, with McFly drummer **Harry Judd** set to star as Coach Bolton when the show opens at the Troubadour Wembley Park Theatre from 12 October 2026 to 3 January 2027.
The London run follows a summer season at the Lowry in Salford, running from 22 August to 19 September 2026, before transferring to the capital.
### **From Disney Channel film to stage phenomenon**
Originally released in 2006, *High School Musical* became a global Disney Channel sensation, inspiring a generation with its story of friendship, identity, ambition and self-expression.
The stage version brings the original film’s energy to life with a live score featuring iconic songs including *Breaking Free*, *We’re All In This Together*, and *Get’cha Head in the Game*.
### **Cast and creative team**
**Harry Judd** will lead the London company following **Jason Donovan**’s run in Salford. He is joined by **Tobias Turley, Leonor Correia, Caitlin Tipping, Luke Bayer** and Disney star **KayCee Stroh**, with further casting to be announced.
The production is co-directed by **Joseph Houston** and **William Whelton** of Hope Mill Theatre, with a creative team including choreography, design, lighting, sound and musical supervision from leading UK theatre creatives.
