Moulin Rouge! The Musical Announces New Cast as West End Hit Celebrates Five Years

[Moulin Rouge! The Musical](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/musical/moulin-rouge-tickets) has announced new casting for its West End production as the spectacular musical celebrates five years at the [Piccadilly Theatre ](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/venue/piccadilly-theatre-london)this autumn.
From 12 October 2026, current stars **Karis Anderson** as Satine and **Alistair Brammer** as Christian will be joined by **James Doherty** (*Come From Away*) as Harold Zidler and **Daniel Fraser** (*Christmas Carol Goes Wrong*) as The Duke.
**Richard Lloyd King** will continue as Toulouse-Lautrec, alongside **Ivan De Freitas** as Santiago and **Lindsey Tierney** as Nini. **Nick Len** (*Matilda the Musical*) will play Baby Doll, while **Billie-Kay** (*Kinky Boots*) takes on the role of Arabia. **Athena Collins** continues as La Chocolat, with **Angela Marie Hurst** as Alternate Satine.

Set in Paris in 1899, *Moulin Rouge! The Musical* follows Christian, a young American writer who falls hopelessly in love with Satine, the dazzling star of the Moulin Rouge nightclub. But their romance is threatened by Harold Zidler, the club's impresario, and the wealthy Duke of Monroth, who believes he can buy anything he wants.
With the Moulin Rouge facing financial ruin, Christian joins forces with his Bohemian friends Toulouse-Lautrec and Santiago to create a spectacular show that could save the club – and win Satine's heart.
Based on **Baz Luhrmann**'s iconic film, *Moulin Rouge! The Musical* brings the story to the stage in a dazzling celebration of romance, music and spectacle. Featuring a mash-up of popular songs and a world of extravagant costumes and lavish design, the production invites audiences into the glittering world of the Moulin Rouge.
