RENT Announces further West End Cast

Further casting has been announced for the [upcoming West End revival](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/news/uk-rent-revival-by-juliet-director-luke-sheppard-westendwishlist) of **Jonathan Larson**'s [*RENT*](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/musical/rent-tickets), with the remaining principal cast now revealed ahead of the musical's return this autumn.
Previously announced as Mark Cohen, *Stranger Things* star [**Gaten Matarazzo**](https://www.londontheatredirect.com/news/stranger-things-star-gaten-matarazzo-to-make-west-end-debut-in-rent-plus-dates-and-venue-just-confirmed) will make his West End debut in the production. He is now joined by **Travis Ross** as Roger, **Bella Brown** as Mimi, **Billy Nevers** as Collins, **Lazy Violet** as Maureen, **Danielle Fiamanya** as Joanne, **Jeevan Braich** as Angel and **Joaquin Pedro Valdes** as Benny. Further casting is expected to be announced in due course
### **What is RENT about?**
Inspired by *La Bohème*, *RENT* follows a close-knit group of friends and artists living in New York City's East Village as they navigate love, loss, poverty and the AIDS crisis in the early 1990s. Since premiering in 1996, **Jonathan Larson'**s groundbreaking rock musical has become one of the most celebrated shows of its generation, winning both the Pulitzer Prize for Drama and multiple Tony Awards.
The new West End production is directed by Olivier Award winner **Luke Sheppard**, whose acclaimed Hope Mill Theatre revival inspired this latest staging. The creative team also includes choreographer **Tom Jackson Greaves**, set designer **David Woodhead**, costume designer **Gabriella Slade**, lighting designer **Howard Hudson** and sound designer **Paul Gatehouse,** with additional creatives to help bring Larson's iconic musical back to the West End this autumn.
