Les deux textes, écrites à huit ans d’intervalle (1991 et 1999), ressemblent à deux pois dans une cosse, toutes deux explorant l’indifférence, l’ignorance, le consumérisme altruiste et le narcissisme de la haute bourgeoisie. Jamie Lloyd, qui a mené la saison Pinter at the Pinter avec Lady Antonia Fraser et qui est aussi à la tête de la scène pour ce double programme, a offert une interprétation visuellement simple mais raffinée, qui reste de bon goût au milieu des conversations incroyablement bombastiques des personnages et des commentaires choquants, parfois aussi amers que le vin rouge qu'ils boivent désespérément.
