Marisha Wallace

An American actress, Marisha Wallace is famous for her association with the musical theatre. Born in North Carolina, she made her appearance in the original casts of Aladdin (Broadway, 2014). In 2015, she became a member of the understudy and ensemble for Something Rotten (2015). In 2017, she performed in the West End production of Dreamgirls as an alternate Effie White.

After coming to London, she has been seen as Becky in Waitress at the Adelphi Theatre. She is also a part of Broadway and West End Divas. She performed at Cadogan Hall in The Color Purple in Concert and sold out two nights at Zedel. She has also performed in multiple concerts at the London Palladium and The Royal Albert Hall.

She won the Drammy for Best Actress for her performance in Oklahoma!

Theatre:

Wallace has been working in Broadway and West End musicals like The Book of Mormon (1st National US Tour, 2012); Aladdin (Original Broadway Production, 2014); Something Rotten! (Original Broadway Production, 2015); Dreamgirls (West End Premiere Production, 2016); Waitress (Original West End Production, 2019); and Hairspray (London Revival, 2020).

Screen:

Her screen credits the live-action adaptation of Aladdin; The View and Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Good Morning America; Disney’s Frozen Fever, and The Tony Awards.

Music:

She released “Soul Holiday”, a Christmas album in 2017.
