Ben Morris

Ben Morris, born as Benjamin Morris in Dublin, Ireland, is a theatre actor by profession. He was among the winners of the 2010 Fame: The Musical singing and dancing contest on RTE One (Ireland). Ben also hosts Inside the West End Podcast. Currently, he is an Ensemble in Waitress. His specialises in not only in acting and singing but is also skilled in several musical instruments and dancing.

 

Training:

He trained at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, London, graduating with a BA Honours Degree in Performance. He also attended the Royal Irish Academy of Music.

Theatre:

Ben has played quite a few roles in theatre including Michael Dara in The Shadow of the Glen at the Union Theatre; Perchik/Motel in Fiddler on the Roof (West End) at the Savoy/Stanhope; Icestone in Sleeping Beauty (Reckless Films); Dandini in Cinderella at The Gaiety Theatre; various roles in Oh What a Lovely War (Bruiser Theatre Company); Peter in Jesus Christ Superstar (Musicians UK); Jack in Jack & the Beanstalk at the Cork Opera House; Nick in Fame – The Musical (Robert C Kelly Ltd); Prince in Snow White & Seven Dwarfs at the Cork Opera House; cover Berger/Tribe in Hair (EJB Entertainment).

TV & Film:

Among his onstage credits is Mark in Detained (Monster Animation); Drummer in Delphine (Zanita Films); Junior Executive in Divestment (Still Films); Servant Seymour in The Tudors (SW Productions).

Music:

Blessed with a beautiful voice, he has also sung in various shows. Some of his works are his performance as a Guest Soloist in The Helix’s Applause, and National Concert Hall’s With a Song in My Heart; Lead Vocalist in The King’s Portsmouth’s His Story, and Music Theatre Ireland’s Listen to My Heart; Guest Performer in the Presidential Garden Party, and Football Assoc. of Ireland’s Republic of Ireland Soccer.
