Gary Jordan

Gary Jordan is a London-based professional singer, actor, voice artist and puppeteer. He is currently appearing as Zazu in Disney’s The Lion King playing at The Lyceum Theatre in London. Born in England in 11th May 1975, he trained at the Guildford School of Acting and graduated in 1997.

 

Theatre:

Gary is experienced in theatre, having worked in plenty of shows. Some of his best-known roles include Arthur in High Society, Cookie in Anyone Can Whistle, Eugene and Doody in Grease, and Michael Bennet in A Class Act which was a critically acclaimed production.

He also worked across the UK and abroad, building a long list of credits like Mr Tik Tok in BBC’s Playdays – Live On Stage, Rooster in Annie, Arthur Kipps in Half A Sixpence, Buddy Holly in Buddy, The Scarecrow in The Wizard Of Oz, Toby in Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd, Don Lockwood in Singin’ In The Rain, Vince/Teen Angel in Grease, and Mr Myers in Fame – The Musical.

TV:

His television appearances include This Morning, The Paul O’ Grady Show, So Graham Norton, Blue Peter, and a live performance in front of more than a thousand people at Party In The Park.

Recordings:

Gary has been part of the recordings for Zingzillas – The Album and Coronation Street – The Musical. He played Mojo Jojo in the Powerpuff Girls live shows. He also voiced various characters in Sony Playstation’s Inazuma Eleven game series.

Other Credits:

He has worked as a musical director on multiple cabaret and shows in and around London. Some of them are Hairspray, Honk, Footloose, Annie, Anything Goes and Little Shop Of Horrors. Gary also runs a smooth business named The Choir Company, serving as a good opportunity for talents across the south coast to embrace pop, rock, Motown and modern music.
