Jenna Russell

Born in London on 5th October 1967, Jenna Johan Russell is an English singer and actress. She has worked in both dramas and musicals in London and has also worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company. She played Dot in “Sunday in the Park with George” in the Broadway as well as the West End. Her performance as Dot brought her nomination for a Tony Award and won her the Best Actress in a Musical award in the 2006 Olivier Award.



She went to the Sylvia Young Theatre School.


Russell’s theatre credits include Abbacadabara (West End, 1983); Girlfriends (West End, 1987); The Beggar’s Opera (London Fringe, 1992); Guys and Dolls (West End, 2005); Soho Cinders (West End, 2012); Merrily We Roll Along (West End, 2012); Urinetown ( West End, 2014); Doctor Faustus (West End, 2016); Fun Home (London, 2018) and The Bridges of Madison County (West End, 2019).


She has also worked on several television programmes. These include Nanny (1983); Dramarama (1984); Sacred Hearts (1985); Home to Roost (1985); The Fear (1988); Scene (1985-88); Saracen (1989); On the UP (1990-92); The Bill (1989-95); Picking up the Pieces (1998); Peak Practice (2000); Doctor Who (2005) Born and Bred (2002-05); Minder (2009); Into the Woods (2011); Call the Midwide (2014) and Tracey Ullman’s Show (2017).
