Rosalie Craig

Rosalie Craig is an English actress born on 30th May 1981. She is famous for her performances in musical theatre and won a London Evening Standard Award for Best Performance in a Musical in 2013. 

Craig joined the Royal Shakespeare Company after her graduation in 2001, making her professional stage debut in Adrian Mitchell’s adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. She got her first lead role in 2007 when she played Arwen in The Lord of the Rings musical. Since then, she has put up noteworthy performances in The Light Princess (National Theatre, 2013) which brought her an Olivier Award nomination and an Evening Standard Award win. Craig has also played leading roles in Ragtime (Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre); Finding Neverland (Leicester Curve) and City of Angels (Donmar Warehouse). 

 

Training:

She graduated from Rose Bruford College in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in Actor Musicianship. 

Awards:

In 2013, she won the Best Musical Performance at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards for her work in The Light Princess. In 2018, she won another Best Musical Performance prize at the Evening Standard Theatre Awards. She also has several nominations to her name including Olivier and WhatsOnStage awards.

She has also worked in various television programmes including Lovesick, Endeavour, Miranda, and Spooks.
