Sebastien Torkia

Born on 13th March 1972 in the UK, Sebastien Torkia is an experienced and professional London-based actor. He was cast in several musicals, films and other shows to date. He is currently playing the role of Mr Wormwood in Matilda the Musical.

Sebastian attended the London Studio Theatre before initiating an extensive and successful career in musical theatre.

His list of credits run long and includes playing the role of Steve in the national tour of Singin’ In The Rain; Giant Rumblebuffin and Maugrim in The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe at the West Yorkshire Playhouse; Greg Gardner in A Chorus Line at the Sheffield Crucible; Francis in La Cage aux Folles at the Menier Chocolate Factory/West End; the original casts of Benoit in Martin Guerre, Double J in Saturday Night Fever and Benny Southstreet in Guys And Dolls in the West End. He also played Ed in The Lion King; Pirelli in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street at the Manchester Royal Exchange and West Yorkshire Playhouse; Alberto Beddini in the national tour of Top Hat; Mario in Travels With My Aunt at Minerva Chichester; Al Wheeler in The Stripper at The Other Palace; lead in Saturday Night Fever in Germany/Italy; Peter And The Starcatcher at the Royal Northampton.

Film:

Sebastian has appeared in Aladdin, Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Phantom Of The Opera, The Clan, Mamma Mia!, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again, and Paddington 2.

TV:

On television, he was part of Babes In The Wood, Coronation Street, and Victoria Wood’s That Day We Sang.
