TAO Dance Theater: 4 & 9 tickets come to London's Sadler's Wells!

Tao Ye is widely considered to be a master of minimalist movement. He founded TAO in 2008 and since then the company has become famous for their austere forms uniform costuming and clean lines. The company is bringing tow pieces from its Numerical Series to London for an extremely limited 2 performance run in May 2019. Both pieces feature music from Xiao He, China's most important avant-garde composer and Tao's frequent collaborator.

The evening's performance begins with 4. In this piece a quartet of dancers move together, but apart. They move in perfect coordination without ever touching as if guided by an unseen force. The second and final piece of the evening is Tao's latest work, 9. This piece is different from the others in the Numerical Series. 9 is a significant number in the Chinese culture and that is seen in the piece which is both a progression through obstacles and a return to the beginning. The nine dancers wheel across the stage in movements at once light and chaotic.

TAO Dance Theater: 4 & 9 tickets are only available for 2 performances. Do not miss your chance to see this master of movement at work on the London stage, book tickets to TAO Dance Theater: 4 & 9 now to avoid disappointment.

Extraordinary performance. Was given tickets and hadn't checked it out which was a mistake, but thought it amazing. Music for the first part of 4 got a bit hard to take
