What is This is Rambert about?

Rambert continues to push dance forward with bold new voices and ideas that reflect the world today. Dynamic, urgent and thought-provoking, this double bill showcases the company at its most innovative.

Hop(e)storm by (LA)HORDE transforms dance into an act of resistance. Blending the joyful rhythms of lindy hop with the intensity of rave culture, this electrifying work explores power, equality and identity through explosive movement and stripped-back visuals. It’s a thrilling celebration of dance as collective action.

Award-winning choreographer Emma Evelein’s Gallery of Consequence turns the airport into a striking metaphor for life’s defining choices. Set within a powerful soundscape, Rambert’s dancers navigate uncertainty, connection and consequence, capturing the emotional turbulence of decisions that shape our lives.

This compelling programme offers a powerful glimpse into the future of contemporary dance from the company that continues to lead the way.

It’s worth the applause

  • “Rambert is a dance company currently firing on all cylinders” - The Guardian
  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Not just a dance performance—it’s theatre, satire, commentary, and poetry in motion. It’s flawlessly executed and astonishing in its detail.” - A Youngish Perspective (on Gallery of Consequences)
  • “Under the direction of Benoit Swan Pouffer, Rambert is an increasingly daring, inquisitive, boundary-busting outfit.”  - Ballet Position
  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐ “A sweat-soaked, neon-lit celebration of dance as escape, defiance and release.” - West End Best Friend (on Bring Your Ow”n feat. Hop(e)storm)
