Slick. Stylish. Sensational. Scintilating. Let's be honest there aren't enough superlatives to describe this joyous show. The energy and pizzazz of the cast is infectious. The show has heart and this makes it a joy to watch from strat to finish. I know I am not alone in saying this, as looking around at the packed theatre you could see the audience at the end reluctantly leaving the show but they did so with an extra spring in their step. Theatre is a collborative effort. As an audience we only see the performers who richly deserve their acclaim but to the unsung heroes behind the scenes and those front of house at the Noel Coward Theatre, thank you. You all deserve the standing ovation and heartfelt applause that greeted the end of last nights show. Having praised the cast collectively, I would like to take this opportunity to single out the leading man, Charlie Stemp. What a find. What a star. What a simply sensational performer. Charming, Charismatic and gifted. His performance as Arthur Kipps leaves you breathless with admiration. Humbled by the sheer brillianace of his skill and his stamina. Charlie Stemp, I hope will soon be box office gold, which on this performance is nothing less than he deserves. A wonderful night of musical theatre.
