About Andrew Lloyd Webber 

Andrew Lloyd Webber is a highly regarded British composer and producer who has been instrumental in shaping the world of musical theatre. Webber began his career in the 1960s, collaborating with lyricist Tim Rice on a series of rock operas that were successful both in the UK and internationally. These included Jesus Christ Superstar and Evita, which were later adapted into successful films.

In the 1980s, Webber composed the music for the hit musical Cats, which went on to become one of the longest-running shows in West End and Broadway history. He continued his success with the iconic musical The Phantom of the Opera, which debuted in London in 1986 and is still running on both the West End and Broadway.

Over the course of his career, Webber has won numerous awards, including seven Tonys, three Grammys, and an Academy Award for Best Original Song for "You Must Love Me" from the film adaptation of Evita. He was also knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1992 for his contributions to music.
