Written by Willy Russell, the legendary Blood Brothers musical at the Phoenix Theatre has become one of the longest standing musicals on the West End.

Originally opening at the Lyric Theatre in 1983, the Blood Brothers show won the Olivier Award for Best New Musical. It was revived at the Albery Theatre in 1988 and then transferred to the Phoenix Theatre in 1991 where it still plays today.
The Blood Brothers songs include Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the emotionally charged hit Tell Me It’s Not True.
Since Blood Brothers opened in the West End the central role of Mrs. Johnstone has been played by, among others Barbara Dickson, Stephanie Lawrence, Clodagh Rodgers, Kiki Dee, Lyn Paul, Siobhan McCarthy, Melanie Chisholm, Niki Evans and Amy Robbins. The current Blood Brothers cast includes Vivienne Carlyle, Philip Stewart, Mark Rice Oxley and Paul Christopher.
