Ali Rose The story centres around Ali Rose, an aspiring small town singer who heads to Los Angeles in search of her mother. After persuading Tess, the owner of a burlesque club, to hire her as a dancer, Ali mus fight sabotage and jealousy to prove her worth. Christina Aguilera may not be reprising her role, but you can expect showstopping vocals from Jess Folley – she even composed some of the music! Tess Tess, played by the iconic Cher in the 2010 movie, is a former dancer and the owner of a Burlesque club in LA that’s struggling financially. After hiring Ali to replace one of her dancers, Tess befriends her and helps her to navigate her career in the cutthroat world of burlesque. Sean Flamboyant costume designer for the burlesque club, Sean is also very close friends with Tess. Sean supports Ali emotionally through her blossoming career. Todrick Hall returns to the London stage in the role, as well as writing music and lyrics and choreographing for the show.

There has been a lot of buzz around the musical adaptation of the 2010 cult-hit film starring Christina Aguilera (who also produces the production), but did the critics have a wonderful time in Wonderland, or did it leave them feeling as mad as a hatter? Burlesque The Musical is the brainchild of writer and director Steven Antin, who also penned the original 2010 film. The stage adaptation boasts additional material by Kate Wetherhead and features an electrifying score with contributions from musical powerhouses such as Christina Aguilera, Sia, Diane Warren, Todrick Hall, and Jess Foley. The film garnered critical acclaim, earning three Golden Globe nominations in 2011, including Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy. It clinched the award for Best Original Song with Diane Warren's "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me," performed by the legendary Cher. Christina Aguilera, who made her acting debut in the film, co-wrote and performed the song "Bound to You," which also received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song.
