Set in Bristol, 2025, GLIMMER follows Billie, a burned-out teen desperate to be seen. One late-night doom-scroll draws her into the world of Anakiss, a magnetic influencer promoting radical self-belief through small acts of revenge called “glimmers.” As the online obsession spills into real life, Billie’s transformation ignites a dangerous chain of irreversible consequences.
This production features mature themes, strong language, online harassment, as well as references to violence and underage drinking. All performances as part of MTFestUK 2026 will be presented in an abridged workshop format, with scripts in hand.
