What is Redcliffe about?

Set in 18th-century England, Redcliffe brings to life the haunting true story of William Critchard and Richard Arnold, whose lives became entwined in Redcliffe, Bristol.

When William, a man of humble beginnings, meets Richard, a sailor passing through the town, an unexpected romance sparks a passionate love affair. But in a world shaped by suspicion and prejudice, their relationship comes at a dangerous price. As the threat of discovery grows, William and Richard must confront how much they are willing to risk for the freedom to love and live life on their own terms.
