Following a sold out season at the Hackney Empire, Soul Sister transfers to the Savoy Theatre for a strictly limited season.

Inspired by the music, life and times of Ike and Tina Turner, Soul Sister features Emi Wokoma as Tina Turner - who’s vocal and dance talents have attracted huge critical and public acclaim since the production’s launch.

The musical follows the highs and lows, the passions and heartbreak of Ike and Tina Turner as their careers blossomed and their marriage crumbled.

Soul Sister, the Tina Turner musical features all the classics including Simply the Best, What’s Love Got to Do with it, Proud Mary, Private Dancer and River Deep Mountain High.

Tina Turner is arguably one of music’s greatest ever live performance and recording artist ‘diva’s’, and was named one of the greatest singers of all time by Rolling Stone Magazine. With a career spanning over 50 years, her combined album and single sales total approximately 180 million copies worldwide. She has won 9 Grammy Awards, and an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, amongst many other accolades and honours.

Emi Wokoma’s stage credits include Hairspray at the Shaftesbury Theatre, Little Shop of Horrors at Birmingham Repertory Theatre, The Bacchae at the National Theatre of Scotland and Trevor Nunn’s Porgy and Bess at the Savoy. Chris Tummings stars as Ike Turner. His many stage roles include in Stratford East’s The Harder They Come and The Big Life and Fabulation at the Tricycle.
