Now you know how big it is imagine what the creators can do with the classic comic book series Batman! Of course, we all know about the films and the revival by Christopher Nolan has created a new generation of fans who love the world of Gotham City and it's cast of villains that Batman battles against. Now the iconic city and characters are being bought to life on stage in what is described as a theatrical extravaganza of thrilling stunts, acrobatic acts and illusions. It is a multi-million pound stage production of an unprecedented scale.

Some of the features of the stage is a 100ft wall shaped like a bat and a specially designed batmobile by Sir Gordon Murray the legendary Formula One Designer all inspired by the style of Jim Lee originally a writer for Marvel Comics, now a Co-Publisher of DC Comics who has written extensively Batman stories.

The preparations and people involved is immense. To prepare for the stunt work in the show the trapeze artists train for 45 minutes a day for three months. The show will tour around the world with 86 people on the road, comprising actors, acrobats, stunt performers and crew and it takes over 17 trucks to move the show from arena to arena.

Audience reviews so far have been extremely positive...with particular mention of how all members of the family at any age will enjoy not just the action and stunts but the story as well regardless of whether you are an obsessive Batman fan or not.
