What is Churchill’s Urinal about?

Freshly moved into 11 Downing Street, Britain’s bold new female Chancellor of the Exchequer wastes no time tackling a rather unusual piece of political history: the ageing urinal in her grace-and-favour en-suite bathroom. Determined to modernise her official residence, she orders it removed — only to discover that the humble porcelain fixture carries a surprising legacy.

What begins as a simple home upgrade quickly erupts into a full-blown national debate about heritage, politics, and the quirks of life at the heart of government.

Why is Churchill’s Urinal worth the applause?

  • Rosie Holt is a Chortle award-winner, whose online videos have been viewed more than 7 million times.
  • Director Dan Clarkson’s previous credits include the Olivier nominated Potted Potter, and Potted Panto.
  • Standup sensation, Stewart Lee, has provided additional material for the show. Lee is an Olivier Award winner, taking home the prize for Jerry Springer The Opera. He has also won numerous BAFTAS, British Comedy Awards, and Chortle awards for his standup.
