Adapted for the stage by BAFTA-winning writer Jack Thorne, Let the Right One In is an enchanting yet chilling story of loneliness, love and survival. Set on a housing estate at the edge of town, the play follows Oskar, a bullied and isolated teenage boy living with his mother, whose world changes when Eli moves into the neighbouring flat.
Eli is unlike anyone Oskar has ever known. She never goes to school, never leaves the flat during the day, and seems to understand him in a way no one else does. As the pair grow closer, a string of terrifying murders grips the area, and Oskar begins to uncover the truth: Eli has been a teenager for far longer than anyone should be.
Based on John Ajvide Lindqvist’s original novel and Tomas Alfredson’s acclaimed film, this National Youth Theatre production is directed by James Dacre and performed by 18 exceptional young actors from the NYT REP Company, alongside Michelle Asante and Colin Tierney.
