What is Our Public House about?

When an entire community spoils their ballots and refuses to vote, a failing local pub becomes the last place left to be heard.

As a storm rages outside, landlady Sanjana, a grieving family, familiar regulars and unexpected guests are thrown together for one unforgettable night of debate, confession and live music.

In a town divided by politics, secrets spill, sparks fly and something begins to shift.

Inspired by the real words of 600+ people across the UK, Our Public House is a powerful new play with original live music about community, connection and what happens when every voice demands to be heard.

It’s worth the applause!

  • “A writer of grace and luminosity” - The Stage (On award-winning playwright, Barney Norris)
  • “Immersive ingenuity” - The Observer (On director Josephine Burton)
  • At every show, a local community ensemble will be part of the action on stage, performing alongside the cast and highlighting the issues they feel are most important locally - no two performances will be the same!
