Who is the Shoe Lady and what’s her story?

Viv is the shoe lady. She just has one pair of shoes, and they just happen to be her work shoes and her weekend shoes, and she has lost one of them. Viv is the shoe lady with just one shoe, and she doesn’t know what to do. She’s starting to feel a little overwhelmed by everything! The curtains are falling, and her feet are bleeding but still, she has hope. After all, once she finds that missing shoe, all will be well with the world.

The lady behind the Shoe Lady

E.V. Crowe has written across multiple fields, including theatre, film, television, radio and dance. She is a graduate of the Royal Court Young Writers Programme Super Group. Crowe is a rising writer; her plays having received awards and esteemed recognition. Her first play at the Royal Court, Kin was nominated for the Most Promising Playwright at the Evening Standard Awards. Her second Royal Court play, Hero, was part of the Olivier Award-winning season in the Jerwood Theatre Upstairs. She has also won an Imision Award for Best Radio Drama Script for How To Say Goodbye Properly.
