Kelly Downing biography Kelly Downing is a London-based actress, singer and dancer. She is currently an ensemble in Hamilton. Training: Kelly went to the Brid College and graduated with a National Diploma in Musical Theatre (2009 – 2012). Theatre: “Somewhere” vocalist/Graziella in Luis De Abreu’s West Side Story (Bird Theatre Company, 2012); ensemble and played Patty Simcox/Frenchy in David Gilmore’s Grease (David Ian Productions, 2012); Joule, cover Buffy/Ashley in Steven Rosso’s Starlight Express as part of the 25th Anniversary cast, Bochum 2013 – 2015 (Mehr Productions, 2013); ensemble in Thea Sharrock’s The Bodyguard as an original cast at the Cologne, Germany (2015) and ensemble in Thomas Kail’s Hamilton at the Victoria Palace Theatre (2018). Pantomime: Ensemble in Bob Eaton’s Dick Whittington (Belgrade Theatre Productions); ensemble in Bob Eaton’s Aladdin (Belgrade Theatre Productions) and ensemble and cover Cinderella in Chris Nelson’s Cinderella At Aylesbury Waterside Theatre (First Family Entertainment). His other stage appearances include dancer in Coventry’s Our Town Story (Belgrade Theatre Productions) and dancer/demonstrator in Katie Morea’s ISTD Advanced One Modern Demonstrator (ISTD). TV: Kelly has also made several television appearances. He was the Medal Ceremony Presenter in Keith Hughes’ Grandstand (BBC2); dancer in David Leighton’s BRIT Awards (2012); ensemble in Hamilton (ITV’s Olivier Awards, 2018) and ITV’s Royal Variety Performance (2018). Other Credits: She has also worked in various other projects including commercial and recordings. She appeared as a skater in a 2015 H&M Christmas, as well as a skater/dancer in a 2017 Buffalo Is How We Roll commercial.
