Samantha Barks

Born October 1990, Samantha Jane Barks is a Manx singer and actress who is known for her noteworthy performance on screen, on stage and in television. She achieved fame from the BBC TV talent show "I'd Do Anything" in 2008. Her West End debut happened in 2010 when she played the role Eponine in Les Miserables at the Queen's Theatre.

In 2012, Samantha was a part of Groove High, the Disney Channel series. In the same year, she made her movie debut by playing Eponine in the film version of Les Miserables. Her performance brought her the Empire Awards for Best Female Newcomer. She also earned nominations for the Broadcast Films Critics Association Award for Best Acting Ensemble, the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress – Motion Picture, as well the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture. She also shared the National Board of Review Award for Best Cast.

Samantha also has musical theatre credits as Elsa in the West End premiere of Frozen, The Last Five Years, Amelie, Oliver!, Honeymoon in Vegas, and the title role in Pretty Woman on Broadway.
